What the VHRA represents

The VHRA is a not-for-profit organisation with a clearly defined purpose

Dedicated to promoting hot rods, customs, and street machines in Victoria, Australia

Most vehicles eligible for the VicRoads Club Permit Scheme may be able to participate in VHRA events

at the sole discretion of the VHRA management team

Our primary activity is the Victorian Hot Rod and Street Machine Show

although we will actively engage with any Victorian car event where the event fits within the VHRA's purpose

and where the proceeds go to a recognised charity providing direct support to Victorian families

A brief history

The Victorian Hot Rod Association came into being on the 15th of February 1966

when six young men signed  their names on the Articles of Association document.

None could have anticipated the iconic event the Victorian Hot Rod Show would become.

Synonymous with Carlton's Royal Exhibition Building for 55 years,  the Covid 19 pandemic caused the breaking of this

Australia Day long-weekend tradition.

The Victorian Hot Rod and Street Machine Show returned in 2024

new location, new dates, new format

VHRA history continues
